Default How to flush with ibr urgent help

Hi fellas , first time owning a jet ski but not afirst time using one . I am very happy to get my sea doo spark, she's a 2015 model with ibr. My question is , how the heck do I flush it out .i am having one **** of a time trying to get to the left port next to the exhaust with my fat fingers , how did you guys do it? Is there a video , any pictures or videos would be amazing . I couldn't flush it this weekend so I'm getting nervous as to leaving it as such. My dealer is sending me that hose kit but I need to see how to do it .any help from you guys would be much appreciated . I don't have a vts on this , so I can't even overidethe ibr. There's no settings option in my menu . Thank you again

I had the same issue. This is what I found....

to open the IBR so you can get to where you need to flush:

1. put key clip on safety.
2. start engine, rev so it triggers forward motion and gate rises.
3. unclip safter, as its shutting off, re-clip safety (should beep 2x)
4. Ibr gal should stay up until restarted.

Also in Barnegate bay......

There is no hose plug there's just the hose port way in the back next to the exhaust that you screw in. I can't get in there . My dealer said they would install that hose kit and screw it in so it's next to the exhaust. Rob where in barnegat

Guys,
The easy way to get the IBR up so you can flush is.
1- Put the key in.
2- Press the start button, but don't start it up.
3- Press the reverse button.
4- The press the red button by the display.
5- Keep pressing the up button to you get the IBR all the way up.

They you can connect the hose and wash out the back end easy.

My situation is (was!) even worse than yours - in addition to fat digits, our skis float atop jet ski ports all season long and the flush port barely clears the top surface of the port ... NO WAY you’re gonna contort your body let alone be able to twist and screw a hose into the flush port without falling in the water (or worse, throwing your back or shoulder or neck out)!

So, I simply screwed a male 1/2 of a standard garden hose quick connect-disconnect into the port and, “Voila!” - very simple to snap and unsnap a garden hose on and off now!
