Default 2019 TRIXX break in

Newbie question
Brand new 2019 TRIXX 2up
during the first 5 hour break-in there are periods where the ski will limit RPM and speed to 30mph
Following break-in recommendations of dealer to not hold prolonged wide open.. (30 sec)
but noticed there are times the ski is sluggish like on hole shot and sometimes on top end
Seems like longer we are out the condition goes away..
Is this normal?

You’re still in the break in period or not? And what do you define as sluggish

still in break-in as we have less than 10 hours
Sluggish as in max speed 30 mph and limited RPM on take off.
It doesn't have that "snap" when you crack the throttle.. (short bursts) as recommended by dealer

Are you sure you’re not using a learner key? Mine was never like that.

I also have a 2019 trixx. I've noticed my can be sluggish in touring mode, but when I put it in sport mode it seems to be a lot more responsive.

Hmmm, I also have a 2019 TRixx and my dealer told me I could expect it (the onboard computer) to “wake up” (out of break-in period) as soon as 5-hours “depending upon how you ride it.” HE DID SUGGEST NOT KEEPING IT AT ANY ONE RPM - EVEN LOW - FOR ANY EXTENDED PERIOD “Keep bumping it all over the place,” he suggested.

We kept it in Touring mode until 4.5 hours when, just as the dealer described, we felt a “jolt” while idling one afternoon and an obvious change in response acceleration - all this while still in Touring mode. It was after that I started putting it in Sport mode after first keeping it in Touring for 10-15-minutes each time out.

Now, and this isn’t just me, all of us having enjoyed Sport mode consider Touring to be a “learning mode” in itself - case in point, just this evening, my wife was on it for the first time since like May and she circled back to where I was (on her VXR) and she said, “This thing is dead!” I reminded her - and again walked her through how - to activate Sport mode and next time I saw her she was thumbs up and like, “That’s more like it!

+1

OP, is it sluggish - to you - in Sport mode, as well?
