I recently changed the prop and wear ring. Changed oil and added new coolant. The Ski ran about 49 mph when I first bought it a few months ago. (this is a used 2014 Spark) Since I changed the wear ring I topped out at 45mph, I've been slowly loosing speed. Top speed I get as of now is about 41 mph. The engine sounds ok and she still rides nice but I'm not getting the RPMS my other ski gets (same ski) I think it's topping out at 7200 and should be over 7600. Could there be and issue with idle on the engine, or what else might be an issue? Open to any suggestions

Intake is completely clear.

A slow lose of speed the wear ring normally the problem
Check to see if it's got grove in it

You can damage a new wear ring in seconds.

If the rpms are are the max range in the 7ks then you have a jet issue NOT and engine issue.

You never mentioned the condition of the last wear ring and impeller or why you changed it.

Your loss of speed is most certainly because you damaged your brand new impeller or wear ring.

Yes that fast, or with out knowing, if it was the OEM plastic wear ring.
