So over on the GH Yamaha thread they're all discussing the 2015 models which Yam has announced today.

Included in the lineup is the all new "V1" -- "for first-time buyers on a budget".

From reading around, it is just a renamed VX sport.
Not in the same line as the spark. Still a fat whale

It sure does seem like this is Yamaha's answer to the Spark though. You guys just don't seem very convinced.
I love how they did this even after they made that whole trash talking video on the spark and pointing out how the entry vx sport is better. I guess they weren't so confident in the vx sport to sell itself. Haha corporate lameness at its finest.

yup, it's amazing what good design can do, i actually expected better of yamaha but because of how good their products are across the board from what i have seen....they get a bit of a pass.
the new vxr looks sick. I had a 2011 and it was awesome. the updates should make this model even better.
Oh my god, hello 1990´s Yamaha..

One of my family friends daughter had been on my Spark and my rxrtx 260 ...

Now she's only 16 but loved the Spark , she just came back from Europe and spend some time on the VX110 ...

Her exact words was " it's sooo slow and boring ". Lol
It's true though, my freind has an old vx. Although it has 150hp, it's useless. To big to throw around, to large to wave jump. It's like driving a couch in the ocean. great if you want to go fast in a straight line and thats it. Like riding a busa.

Now that's awesome, good to start them young, soon enough she'll be on a boosted spark, putting all the boys to shame :D

Thats actually a good thing. Theres a reason why alot of the high power Sea-Doo's install an open loop cooling system.
I think all the new sea doo's are close loop

I love how Yamaha says they are going to change the industry forever this year and how its the biggest innovation in pwc history in 30 years! the new "ride" technology! Yamaha has done what automatic transmission did for the automotive industry, and high definition did for television....dual throttle control....also would be know as brakes....or another name we are already familiar with IBR!! Hey, hasn't Seadoo had that technology since 2009!? Hmmm...thought it was new technology that was going to change the industry forever!? I have lost a lot of respect for Yamaha as a corporation!! I never had anything bad to say about the company before but what they say in their release video doesn't impress me in the least!
I love how BRP are the innovators nowadays. And Yamaha is just following their path. Time to shape up Yama!

To me it seems that Yamaha is just shifting their focus instead, which is fine, I guess they see other markets to tap into and dominate.
