This would be our first jet ski purchase. I've read a few things online and seen some comments on this forum and I have a few questions. (hopefully this is the proper section)

What is the break in period? I've read 10 hours but not sure exactly what that means. Can you actually ride it at a decent speed during that period?

I've noticed the Spark does not have mirrors on the side, does anyone find that to be a problem?

I've seen the MSRP but have not taken the time to go get hassled by a salesmen, should I expect their price to be lower or higher than MSPR?

Thanks guys!

Break it in like a car: vary speeds, no WOT from idle but, brief WOT from cruise is good, no extended idle, at Wot close (release) the throttle for a slowdown (do a few times) and rings should seat well. I imagine not much else other than keep an eye on oil level/temperatures and enjoy it! I'll get mine next week and will read the manual first . Then be doing as you - smiling and breakin 'er in. Enjoy!

I just bought mine on 5\2. I have three hours on it. Just putzing around until I have about ten. Will bring it in for an oil change at 25hrs.
As for the price, most dealers will price the ski at exactly what the sea-doo site has it at. Then the other fees come in. Your going to have to go from dealer to dealer to see who has the lowest fees.
I had my 96xp with mirrors and really never used them. They are so small you have to turn around to double check anyway.
Hope this helps.

I think we will stop by a dealer this week to see why they have and what fees to expect. I also should factor in insurance too.

Thats good to hear about the mirrors, I figured I would turn my head whether I had them or not. I just worried about the wife, she mentioned wanted them but I think she will see its easy to just turn around.
