What would the point of an aftermarket exhaust be? You won't get a better exhaust note and I'm not sure that it would improve performance.
the bloke at the shop I spoke to reckoned that an aftermarket exhaust would sound better - but would not improve performance.

just wondered if anyone was chasing a good note is all!

Neptune, why would you post that?

From Worx Australia:

Give your Seadoo Spark some extra muscle with the Worx Seadoo Spark Rear Exhaust Kit! Product benefits of the Seadoo Spark Rear Exhaust include:- Reduced resonance in pump cavity - Improved performance, particularly in the mid range - Custom moulded silicone hose to prevent resonance and increase throttle response - Awesome sounds – nice and ‘throaty’ - High quality billet through-hull exhaust outlet and block off plate - Easy installation

Sounds like they should take my money :D
Added a little low end grunt and the sound is amazing
Okay, it seems I was wrong. No need to berate me.

I know exhausts can give some performance upgrades, but usually its done for the exhaust note and the look from what I know of cars and motorcycles. Most of the performance increases happen from weight saving.

I wonder how much you would actually feel this supposed performance increase. I'd actually be happy to hear from someone who has tried an after market exhaust on the Spark.
Those who have a turbo kit will love going for an aftermarket exhaust or something custom fabbed up.
Which brings to mind that one company that was working on a turbokit for the Spark, they seem most likely to come out with a custom exhaust.
so any recommendations on what the best aftermarket exhaust is?

i know there's Worx but there are a few other brands out there, and there is a free flow exhaust too?
I got the worx when my ski was brand new. 3 months on and its sweet. In my opinion all the aftermarket exhaust are free flowing. The term free flow exhaust is a sales pitch.
Cheers mate - yeah the dealer has offered to install a Worx for me at a good price, so that's what I recon we'll do!
You'll like it. matched to the VTECH TUNE so you actually go fast too. Not just sound good. And remove the ribbon so your engine can breathe in as well out. That's all I have done apart from the steering upgrade and I get 91km hour. Consistently.
I'm at 41 hours. My wear ring is still in great shape. I was thinking of putting my solas wear ring in and seeing if that improves top end . not that I want any more. I'm happy as with it now. But just curious.
Hey Tash, did you end up doing the mod? Any noticeable improvements? How loud is it compared to stock?
haven't done anything yet, only bought the Spark in September.
will probably do a few other things first that won't affect my warranty lol
but, I've decided to get the Worx due to price and ease of getting it in Aus.
Does the exhaust effect warranty? I rode Adrian's (one of the members here) ski on the weekend. He has solas prop, ss wear ring and the 110hp tune. Couldn't feel the tune over the 90 but the hook up from the SS ring and Solas was much much better than stock, no cavitation and just pulls away much quicker, great in the chop or waves when you need to get moving quickly. Thats the first thing I'll do to mine.

I was told by my dealer that it would.
in their words 'any time BRP can get out of a warranty fix by showing that your modifications affected the damaged part, they will. For example, if you changed the prop to an aftermarket Solas prop, and your handlebars fell off, they would be required to honour the warranty because the two parts are unrelated. But if you change your prop and the engine blows up, they would argue the change to the prop made it rev harder & therefore that damaged the engine and won't fix it for you'.

the advice of my dealer was to wait on things like exhaust/prop etc till the warranty was over.

Well the prop actually lowers RPM's so in reality it would make it easier on the engine.

What mods are you planning on doing instead?
For now, sponsons and vts.
