Ok, to those who have bought a tuner and would like to make a small profit on there investment. We should get a list of names and locations of who owns a tuner, and who would be willing to tune other peoples sparks for a small fee say $30-$50. It would be a way to help those who want to tune there spark but not come out of pocket $380 for the device.... If your down just post your state and general location.

you do realize you will still have to buy a licence for $550 to program the ski? the programer just gives you the ability to program it at home, just because you have the box doesn't mean you can program anyones ski, you still have to buy a licence for every ski you program, if you don't want to buy a programer just send your ecm to a v-tech dealer and they will send it back to you programmed, the only bad part about not buying a programer is when there is an ecm update by Brp for what ever reason it could wipe out the reflash and you would have to send it back into v-tech to get it put back in likely at a cost to you, if you own a programer and a licence I am pretty sure you can load the reflash into your own ski as many times as you like. I could be wrong about that but from what I have read thats the way it sounds.

The whole point of this thread is to find someone close to you that has a programmer. Who will help you tune your spark with out the out of pocket cost of buying a programmer. Now I would like to think if you are close enough to that person you could re-tune at a lower cost. This is a community of owners trying to help other owners, also if someone likes the idea of the tuner they could buy it later and still have their tune saved under there own account. It a kind of try before you buy type of thing and it also allows tuner owners to make a little money back on their investment. Furthermore, why would you want to send your ecu off and wait for it to come back when you can meet up with someone, tune it, and go have fun that day?

I guess the point I was making was to make sure everyone understood that to reflash your ski you need a licence for each one you want to do, I myself would want my own programmer for the same reason I wouldn't want to send my ECM out and wait, and for that reason also if I had to take it back to the dealer for warranty work depending on the dealer I would want to put the stock programming back in so they don't give me a hard time about modifications when under warranty, I understand about wanting to save 3-4 hundred bucks, but one waisted weekend because you couldn't hook up with your buddy just isn't worth it in my opinion, just my 2 cents!
