I sent my ECU to RaceLab in AL, came back quickly too. It's not hard to remove but I had the top deck off so very easy, unclip the wiring pigtail and remove 3 screws and it comes right off. Without removing top deck it'll be tight trying to do it through the battery hole but can probably be done. Mine was at 90 already and he tuned it to 110. Very reasonable I thought and i don't need to keep changing my tune so it was a lot cheaper than the Riva, etc.
