Anyone Else Still Having A Hard Time Getting Handle Bars For The 2014 Recall?

As per manual, first service visit is supposed to be at 50 hrs. I have 36 hours but the ski feels like its not running as smooth, like a can feel a slight knock ( best way I can put it ) and I'm not looking to get towed on the water so I'm having them do the first service visit a little early, check out the issue and finally get the handle bar recall done. I had service dept order the handle bars 2 weeks ago and they still can't get them in or any update on when they will be in. I can't believe two years later they are still having problems with having this recall part in stock. . Anyone else STILL having an issue with this? Thanks.

On my manual states first 10 hrs take it to the dealer for a maintenance check up and then 100hrs replace oil. I am going to do an oil change at 10hrs as most forums indicate its a good preventive. I dont think my 2015 had any issue with handle bar but i might be mistaken. With a slight knock it might time to replace spark plugs and oil just to be in the safe side, i know i cars tend to give that type of attitude as well. Let me know how it goes.
Thanks. Maybe they changed the manual for 2015. I think it was half of the 2014's that had the recall from what I remember. The dealer told me to bring it back at 10 hours for oil change but the manual said 100 hrs for the first change. I know its common to get rid of the original oil sooner and get rid of the " break in " particles. I asked BRP if I should listen to the dealer or the manual and they told me that the Spark is different and it has not been found that the oil needs to be changed before 100. It seems people have varied opinions about that and I respect that. No car, no trailer and $150 round trip for my ski to get to the dealership so I went with the manual on this one :p I'll keep ya posted though :)

Most definitely!
Is there any thoughts on age vs hours for oil? I have just bought a 2014 3up with 4hrs on it. Because the oil must be at least 12 months old I was thinking about changing it but the dealer just looked at me and said - it's only done 4hrs

Honestly from what I have heard and small experience of rebuilding engines, is that when an old sits too long inside an engine it can accumulate moisture, dirt, so the best route as always is replace the oil. Its an easy step to do with the right tools, have fun. Let me know how it went. :D
My manual says "Every 100 hours or 1 year". Change it.
My dealer said 50 hours, I'll be changing after 10 hours of break-in. Oil is cheap insurance.
good news, after 2 weeks of waiting the handlebars came in, they put them on and no issues at my 50 hr service visit. they were not on back order . I think maybe the guy at the shop forgot to order them or something and then did the first time I called to check to see if they came in yet. The only crappy thing is they were supposed to ship my ski back to the marina Friday after being fixed on thurs. I went there today at 8am to ride it and the marina said they didn't bring it back yet. I called up the dealership and they were like " oh ya, we will bring it around noon. Sigh. No jetski fun for me today :( and back to CT for work tomorrow. Oh well :p
