Are The Spark Lanyards Machine Specific?
Simple question, can you use any Spark lanyard on any Spark or are they coded for security like the Skidoos? I'd like to get some spares.

It's just a magnet molded into the plastic, el cheapo-style.
What security options do we have? It sounds like someone could easily steal it while docked?
Your only security options are to physically restrict access to the PWC really. They are so lightweight, even with a keyed lanyard, they could just pick it up and carry it out.
Fortunately for me, I live in rural NH, and ride in a one ramp small lake. Chances of theft for me are limited by the fact that my setting is low crime and low access.

They decided against DESS to save money and since security measures still don't really prevent PWC thefts. RunItTwice has it right....physically restrict it.
