Check engine light on after flipping 3-up.

My cousin flipped my 3-up today. It was capsized for a very short time, he had it righted in no time. But after restarting the engine the check engine light came on. Everything I read in the Manuel says to take it to an authorized dealer. Has anyone experienced this? By the way I do love my new toy, so much fun throwing it around. I let so many friends and family ride it over the holiday weekend that most of them will be looking to buy their own for next year, except the "orange crush" that colors mine.

Yes, I flipped mine same thing happened, tried shutting it off and letting it sit, but it kept starting and going into limp mode right away, it wasn't until I got on the gas a bit that it cleared and ran fine, I have put about 3 hours on it since, but I haven't had a chance it get the code read yet, I will post what I find out maybe later this week.
After letting the 3-up sit overnight I started it up in the morning and the check engine light was still on. After riding slow for 5 minutes I put it into sport mode and the light went off. YEA!!! Back to having fun! :)
This happened to me on one of my two-ups over the 4th. We let it sit for a few hours, after which it was still power limited. But it did come out of it with just some patience. I'm assuming its an engine safety feature, controlled by the computer.
I had the same thing happen to me with my 3up. Rode it easy for a few minutes and gradually gave it more throttle and it cleared itself up. Weird.
Hi yesterday after riding huge waves came in shut it down in deep water
Went back out but started between waves an might have took in stones pretty sure. It went into limp mode and for the next 3 miles was at 5 mph... My question is if I change the ring myself does it have to go to dealer to clear this mode- check engine ??? Thanks
No once you change the ring and start it and ride it, it will clear it's self. I have 4 sparks and were on the 4th or 5th ring. Also very easy to change 3 bolts on the back and the stearing arm 1 bolt..

yes, it is something the Ecm is controlling, when you roll the machine the oil pump looses oil and the computer sees low oil pressure and causes the code, I had the Ecm read and I had a oil pressure fault on mine after I rolled it, just let it sit for 5 mins and restart and drive through the fault, I have done it a few times since and no problems!
