Dealer Fees

I am looking at buying 2 New 2015 Sparks and a galvanized Sea Doo Spark II trailer. My local dealer wants to charge me 400 per spark for freight and then 200 per item for title, registration, and notary.

This means my total cost is the cost of the Sparks, trailer, 800 for freight, and 600 for title, registration, and notary fees.

Are these additional fees reasonable? Insanely high? Or what? -Thanks

They are BS but its hard to argue because the sparks are selling. My dealer wouldn't budge. If you dont mind calling around and driving further, you might be able to get one without the fees.

I agree, the dealer fees are BS. When I bought my Spark back in February, Once I heard about the fees that I was never told about..I was going to walk out. Thankfully, I was able to negotiate with my dealer to a lower price. I got my Sea-Doo Spark HO 2UP, trailer, title/tag fees, ect for $8,500 OTD. I would try to negotiate with your dealer... its defiantly worth it. The worst he can say is no.
I believe the freight fees are added to any new ski that you buy (similar to destination fees for new cars). Title, registration and such should be expected as well. I know some dealers will also charge an assembly fee as well, that fee might be different between each dealer. And then there are dealer fees that vary between each dealer and is added to any new or used ski.
Freight and set up fees are bs. My dealer sold me my new spark last month without any fees. 6749.00 for. A 2 up HO with IBR and convience pkg. I paid the state of Iowa another 400 tax and title fees. I already had a trailer so I have 7149.00 in my spark.
Are you planning on not negotiating a price you would like to pay?

Shows you how slimy dealers can be. I paid that with $500 freight. So in reality you paid freight just they rolled it into the price.
Just purchased a 3up base 6100 taxes pushed it to 6600 out the door. Added a triton aluminum trailer trailer 899 1100 out the door. total package out the door 7700

get a quote from another dealer if you suspect the charges are not what they should be, freight and Pdi are not included in the MSRP of any unit and dealers pay freight on every unit they bring in, some dealers may not show you they are charging you for it but it will be built into the price of the unit, Pdi is also a cost to the dealer, they have to pay someone to set it up, if they aren't charging you for it it is again either built into the price or they likely have some under qualified kid out back setting them up, in that case I would rather pay a little more and have someone that knows what they are doing set it up! Title fees not sure about where you are but here it doesn't cost to register them just send off the paper work and a month later we get our vessel numbers and licence in the mail or we can pay someone to do it and have the numbers and licence when you pick it up, registration for the trailer I think its about $20 to get a plate for the trailer, and notary fees...I am assuming that is an administration fee your dealer is charging? again some dealers may charge it some may not, that may be a fee they charge to do the registrations for you, you may have a choice to do the registering with the state etc yourself which if you know how to do it or if you are like me I hate paperwork and don't do it every day I would sooner pay someone to do the running around for me, then all I would have to do when I pick it up from the dealer and hit the water!

Where did you get it. I just got a quote for $9350 for the same thing plus the convenience package($200). I understand the dealer needs to make something but over $1300 dollars in fees is insane. Does anyone know a fair dealer in North or central Florida?
