DIY flush kit (push on/pull off)

Didn't want to spend $30 for Sea Doo's kit plus lotsa bucks to install it due to having the iBR in place and wanted a way to hold the floppy 1/2" ID hose to slide it onto the fitting. Came up with plastic PEX tubing from the hardware. Used Teflon lube inside the PEX to make it slide easier and this allows me to push the hose onto the fitting very easily and I then slide the PEX down over the fitting to FIRMLY hold it onto the fitting. A lil Teflon lube inside the hose helps it slide onto the fitting easily. Tip: leave 2" of the hose out at the end as its not a perfectly straight shot to the fitting and that lil curve in the tube makes it easier to hit the fitting. Combined that with a female garden hose fitting and an on/off valve and it works just fine. EZ to use.

I keep seeing these awesome home-made flush kits for ibr sparks.

I don't have time to fashion them. Can someone make up a bunch and just sell them on ebay already?

;)
They take 0 time to make.

Home depot order:
Internet#:100154591 UPC:046878371514 desc:1/2 in. x 24 in. Riser Flex Pipe 4 A $0.98
Internet#:202314147 UPC:046878371613 desc:3/4 in. MNPT x 1/2 in. Barb Adapter 4 A $0.53

These 2 parts at home depot just push together. Cut the pipe to length, and it will just stay on the back of your spark when you're riding. I bought 2 of the first item, and 4 of the second, so if one falls off while riding I have spares. Takes literally less than 5 minutes to assemble, including cutting the pipe. 4 flush kits for $4.
I just use a gardenhose which got some stiffness.

Takes 5 sec at a max to put in place. No need to put the hand inside there.

Not bad at all, at least it is a quick process, beats being at it for an extended period of time.

I have a similar set up with a ten foot 1/2 inch ID clear hose with a female hose connection at the end.

Could you winterize using your method as the Boat sucks in antifreeze from the bucket???
Nice ! :)
I have been just sticking the water hose on the pipe sticking out on the hull wall of the ski and waters coming out of the exhaust pipe outlet don't see a need for anything else.

I was wondering if this would work. Only thing I can think of is that it's less pressure.
I've done that in a pinch when I didn't have my quick connect on me and was trying to screw a long marina hose in. It didn't seem to work very well and I was worried about their not being enough pressure for the water to go where it needs to go but if it works for you all the power to ya! :)
I have plenty of water flow coming out the exhaust outlet. And from inside the pump.
good to know. I feel better about forgetting my quick release that time then & if I do again in the future. I'd be afraid to do it with salt away thought i'd probably squirt it all over myself & in my eyes. I borderline already do. I guess I'm a messy flusher LOL.
Fyi. My 2015 came with one. Standard equipment now.

I was wondering about this, thanks for posting! :D
those mo fo's should have made it standard on the 2014's too lol .

its like selling a car and saying " oh if you ever want to wash it yourself or go to a carwash, you have to buy and install a part before you can do so " LOL!
