Hi all - I'm buying a house on the Intracoastal Waterway in Florida with an existing PWC lift, so must obtain a Spark. I do have an unusual question - is the "beak" in front of the steering removable? My Labrador retriever would love to sit in that storage space . . .

Um ya I need pics to. I brought 10lb my dog out today and he wanted to put his paws on the glove compartment so I'm buying hydroturf for it :p If you can get the " beak " off I'd suggest a life jacket for your dog and perhaps pad it out in that area with hydroturf or some grippy mat material like it :) I'm not sure if the area under the beak is part of the frame or if you can totally remove that whole part. I'd go to your local dealer to ask / look at it :) Keep us posted. I would be interested to know and would love to see pics! Good luck!

Yes...the beak comes off....it has One Screw under the bottom at the very end of the nose...then you must pull very hard away from the handlebars towards the front of the ski very hard...it's a pain to get off but not really that hard.

You can take the beak off but under it is the support structure for the beak.
So you would need to cut it off to make the front section into a dog basket.
Whether the hull and steering support would be happy with you cutting that bit off I'm not sure but warranty would be gone.
