Dolphins and Whales from a spark

The video certainly can make you a bit sea sick but it is cool to see the marine life there. Reminds me of ferry rides when I was growing up in BC.

that's pretty awesome, even better that you caught them on camera and at least being on a PWC you're that much closer to them.

Cool to know that right below you there are whales and dolphins swimming around. Very cool video.

Where was this taken, out of curiosity.

Gold Coast Australia happens every winter great when you get to see them but dolphins all year round


we get to ski all year round no snow or ice nice

Yep but it does get cold down here. No skiing today for me. Awesome vid xdrian. We have been seeing a few lately but not like last couple years. I think they are a little deeper west this year down here.

Funny thing 90% all the times we see them are only .5 to 3kms off the beach half the time don't need an EIRPB

the whales have just popped back here in South Australia too - sighted off Victor Harbor last week

haha don't have my Spark yet - won't have it till we get back from our US trip in a couple of months. most likely Sept or Oct.

Yes normally they are within a km or 2 from shore here too. Only this year I haven't seen many . there is plenty of dolphins around chasing huge schools of fish. I just got a go pro next time I see them I will take it with me.

I am old and out of shape, and ride in flat lakes. Just seeing the swells in that video made me nervous. I can't imagine I'd be anything but panicking around such large mammals in the water around me. Do they ever try to toy with you? Knocking you about?

No they try to avoid you and they only eat krill and don't eat at all when they migrate north

Wow! That's absolutely incredible.
Seen all kinds of wildlife out in the ocean but never a whale.

Ever been tempted to jump in with them?
Once when I encountered a big pod of dolphins I really wanted to hop in the water with them. Once I remembered that Dolphins can be jerks, I thought better of that idea.

We swim with the dolphins all the time. They like to chase you around on the ski must be all the bubbles under the water I guess.
