Hey guys

I was working on my 2008 rxt 255 and as I was taking off the tops valve the thrust washer fell down into the pto housing. I was just wondering if anyone new a quicker way of getting it out then Having to take the pto housing off.

Cheers

STOP

my friend had some one do that to him and didn't know until to late had to replace oil pumps both and lots of other internal damage.

you need to get it out ASAP you could take off the top cover to give you a little more view and access maybe a magnet and string or stick.

At worst you will need to either pull the motor or pump to give access to the pto housing you will have to split to get it out

PS WHAT A **** DESIGN BRP who thought of that design must have been pissed WTF

Yer was spewing when I heard it fall, I've taken the rocker cover and rockers off and moved the cam forward but can't seem to get it so I think I might have to start pulling the pto down unfortunately.
Bugger. Pull the pto and id say it will be under the flywheel.
