Fuel sensor defective error???

We have only had our spark out about 5 times. Yesterday, it started beeping randomly and saying fuel sensor defective. It was low on gas but not anywhere near empty so I filled it up and it was ok for a little while. This morning it started beeping again and saying the same thing. It says it's about a quarter of a tank full but I don't see how we could have ran through that much fuel.

Has anyone had this issue or know what we can check? We plan on taking it in to the dealer when we get home but we are on vacation and would very much like to enjoy our ski while we are here.

I've had the same issue. For me, it happens only when the tank is less than 1/2 full...AND if I hit a wave pretty hard. All signs point to it's not a real issue, just a quick 'jolt' that the sensor gets for a moment.
I got the same thing and spoke with a tech at the dealer and he said it’s a bad sensor and you can replace it, it’s around 80 dollars but he said the new ones can do the same thing some times.
I just ran my spark Monday. I forgot to fuel up before we went out, but it was after work so it was only going to run about an hour and it said half tank when I started her up. When I was about to leave I got a beep and a low fuel message. Gauge was blinking and it looked like it had two bars. I sat in the middle of the water for a minute and it stopped flashing and went back up to 3 bars. So my question is, do they start saying low fuel at 2 bars normally? How much fuel is left when you get the low fuel warning, anyone know? I had just read this thread the same day this happened so I thought it might be the same thing but rereading it I am not getting a defective message just low fuel.
We have two 2018's and one 2015 (all acquired in the last couple months). The second time out, one of our 2018's did the warning for the fuel sensor. Eventually I shut it off and re-started it again and it hasn't done it since, so I'm not sure what to think. Had about 3/4 tank at the time and was jumping some rough chop when it started. I guess we'll see what happens...
Low fuel warning error

I've had 2 fuel level sender units replaced under warranty, and I think I'm about to get a third. Apparently there is a fault in the arm that links the float to the sender unit. Apparently they can separate. Symptoms on mine were 'low fuel' error message, even when I know I have lots of fuel left, followed by a higher fuel level reading and then back to 'low fuel' message. The local dealer has been very helpful on both occasions, and replaced the defective part quickly. My concern is what will happen when the warranty period is over.

The low fuel comes on at 1 gallon left and the engine will derate and only run at partial throttle when your down to a couple quarts. Thats what happened to me. I was surprised how far you can go just putting along at 20mph. I made it 5 miles back to the boat landing with the alarm beeping . If you do a lot of tail stands it will come on with 1/4 tank.
If it stays in Alarm mode and fuel gauge stops working you will have to have the complete fuel pump assembly replaced. For some me reason Seadoo didn’t make the fuel sending unit as a separate part. My brand new ski had it replaced at 10 hrs. It would beep every couple minutes and other than being annoying was a non issue. It took about a month to get my ski back.
2014 spark and I have noticed it several times as well, started today with a full tank and was wondering why it was low quick. I notice it happening when I am in rough chop more than not. So its the fuel arm seperator or sensor or both?
