Hey everyone. Was finally able to take out my new Spark this weekend. I got the 2up HO with iBR and convenience package in licorice. Wasnt sure about the color at first, but everyone has been saying it looks badass.
Been riding it on Long Island Sound. Rough surf saturday so I was wave jumping like crazy. Sport mode makes for some serious air off of waves.
Went out sunday and flipped it attempting a 180 off a wave...righted it within 10 seconds. Not a drop of water got where it wasnt supposed to be so I am super happy about that.
Then a little later the spark lost all acceleration and was maxing out at 5mph. Brought it in and flushed the engine only to notice a bunch of clumps of steel wool fly out of the back...not sure why that happened. Anyone experience this? I know that when stored it is typical to put steel wool to block critters...but why it was still in the spark after I picked it up from the dealer is a little concerning...
After that I went back out and the conditions calmed down. the spark was flying, I got it up to 48 mph in fairly calm waters. Had my friend get on (370 lbs between us) and I was still able to get the spark up to 47 mph. The balance was tricky to deal with however.
So far loving the spark. It is a beast! Every muscle in my arms legs and shoulders is screaming today.
