So today was my 4th ride. My spark ate the second wear ring today. Once again, in the middle of the lake far from the shore.

Anyways, I got home and took it all apart and when I pulled the pump off the impeller stuck to the driveshaft!!! It should be stuck on the pump housing.

Anyways, I figured that explained the 2nd broken wear ring. I tried to screw the impeller onto the pump housing and it won't screw onto it at all. What am I missing?

the impeller comes off with the pump as one.


the impeller (prop) has a left hand thread so tighten you need to pretend to undo it for it to go on and hold the pump shaft in a vice and put some anti seize on the thread
