not sure, you could try it, but that much silicone will take a very long time to cure.
Intake Grate space filler
so i was looking at getting an intake grate and keep seeing these pump seal kits for an extra $80, i was thinking about just filling in them voids with just some RTV silicone for the same effect. whats everyone think? tube of RTV $8 compared to $80

i can't see it being any heavier then the seal kit is, i think the seal it is just silicone rubber
Has anyone experienced better hook up after filling in the voids? I know R&D sells the pieces for the OEM grate too. Please share what grate you have and impeller.
