More handle bars breaking

The Greenhaulk forum has an alarming number of new cracked handle bars being reported. The fact that they are being covered on warranty is irrelevant.
Sea Doo is replacing one critical faulty part for another faulty part. Better check
under the cap regularly to avoid a serious injury.i can't believe they are sweeping this under the rug . This will come back to bite them.

That sounds alarming. Also this thread has been moved to a more apt section.

Hope they make some normal metal bars

well no I don't think warranty is irrelevant in this. If they are being covered under warranty that's admission of a faulty part that does not stand up to the rigours of operation...
Probably not, but maybe the new part is the same design of plastic but is plastic coated metal? Just a thought.

Or maybe the have found issues with production during a period of time and are replacing those parts.

I myself have two sparks and have beat them pretty hard and jumped plenty of wake and waves with No issues what so every. One unit has 20 hours other is around 30
I wonder what the real issue is because people seem to be saying that it could be how some are riding their sparks that is causing this but i'd expect that this can take a beating since a vital part

No indication what so ever of any correction.
What's with the new phone layout. It's impossible to get around the forum

Why not just keep the cap off in that case.

Look like they are still not done with whatever they are doing. :(
Imagine driving down to the lake and hitting a pot hole and your steering wheel snapping in half. They have to redesign it.

Problem is, although we think that there is allot of people breaking them and it's a cocern. BRP seems to have a diffrent outlook. If the 2015 comes out with a new design before a recall is done on ours I will be highly upset with BRP.
Don't get me wrong, I havent had a problem with mine but, I am sure it's in the back of everyone's mind when they ride and that's not what we need to be thinking of when hopping on our ski.

+1 couldn't agree more, it's not a good feeling wondering if your going to smash your head into the bars at any time.
Trust me everytime before getting in the water I have that dark though in the back of my head but just ignore it.

that would indeed be a big piss off and it's best they take care of the issue, but seeing how they're getting close to or are already shifting into 2015 mode they need to hurry up with the recall

Broken Bars

A friend of mine just bought a Spark about a month ago. He put about 6 or 7 hours on it and the bars broke at the base. Only been in a lake no really hard jumps. SeaDoo warrantied the part. We picked it up Saturday rode for about 3 or 4 hours and the bars broke again, this time in a completely different place. The first break was at the base of the bars, this last time they broke off just beyond the handle grips. SeaDoo better get on this or they will be dealing with a serious injury or even a death!!!!!! I will get some pics from him and post them.
