Hey all! Just wanted to post some of my Gallons Per Hour Data:

MPH - GPH
27 - 2.3
31 - 2.34
36 - 2.9

Running 3/4 to full throttle just horsing around I got 3.4 GPH.

This is all on really flat water in the James river around Richmond, VA in touring mode. I will continue to run some more real world testing and gather more data.

WOT GPH update

I have never been a fan of running wide open on anything I own, but I decided to try it out just for everyone else's benefit.

Testing at WOT (wide open throttle) data from this evening SPORT mode:

47-50 MPH : 6.3 GPH

That's almost a whole tank of fuel gone in 1hr. My goal of this thread was to try and find the best GPH cruising speed, so we at least know that it isn't 50 MPH right?

:eek:h and 'hookinembig', I am about 10 mins from Watkins and I mostly run there after work. If I ride on the weekends, I like to go down to Dutch Gap, the Lower James.

I was in a post last night about this same thing I went wide open throttle on my stock 60 hp spark and in 2.05 hours I put in 6.9 gallons of gas. I went under two small bridges other than that wide time.
I guess I'm gonna be listening to your situation now, I rode for 4 hours on Saturday, most of it at 40mph, a lot of times at 50mph, I left the lake at a half of tank? And that's with my Vteched 109hp.

It's hard to believe a 60hp would use the whole tank in 2 hours? Anyone else?

Here is my data so far. Breakin 5 hours used 8 gallons. I estimate all said and done i averaged 25 mph. Less in the beginning more at the end. Mostly smooth river. Took me 2 days 2.5 hours each day. It took 4 gallons each day. That's an estimated 125 miles per 8 gallons or 15mpg at 1.6 gallons per hour.
