Hey guys!
My name is Ben I'm from Birmingham Alabama and I am looking to buy a spare as my first ski!

Is it worth it for the HO?

Can colors be swaped/painted over easily?
How effective are tuners? (if the answer is very does anyone want to let me barrow one? :) )

Anything I should look out for when buying one?

Thanks in adv. Cant wait to talk more with yall!

Welcome!

I personally don't have the tune done on mine, I've got a 2015 3UP so its got the HO, and having driven the 60HP versus the 90HP, its definitely worth it. That is if you decide you don't want to do the tune. That's up to you!

As for the painting over, Mine took plasti dip really well, but I got a drop of gas on the piece and it melted off... I think the colors are relatively easy to swap, they'd require taking off a bunch of the bolts, but they've got kits on ebay for $450

As I'm a newbie here, I'm sure others can offer better advice! But Welcome again!

Things to consider about getting the HO:

If you want a 3-UP, it only comes with the HO.

I think the IBR only comes in the HO. The IBR is required if you want the VTS (variable trim).

I have a couple 3ups with IBR, VTS, reboarding step, convenience package, and depth finders, and they are great. You may not need all these features. If you want a 2-up, no IBR no VTS, getting the 2-up and then tuning is the way to go.
