Hello everyone I'm a new member from Ontario, Canada. I am also a first time watercraft owner, I bought my 2up pineapple spark august of 2014. Only got to ride it for 4 hour due to my son getting sick and weather. Although it is still too early to ride here in Ontario, I am looking forward to the new full season. I went to pick up my Spark from the dealer storage and it did not go well. This is how I found this site, since this is the introduction thread I will write my problem in the general discussion thread, please read.

Thanks for the welcome, and yes it is myfirst PWC. I never really had the time or extra money to get one. I always wanted a pwc, then when the Spark come out it seemed reasonable and it suited my needs, could not resist.

Welcome to the forum! I'm actually from Barrie and ride on Lake Simcoe, out of Kempenfelt Bay, also up in Huntsville and down on Lake Ontario from Burlington! Looking forward to another season, saw some people out in the heavy duty wet suits getting started early. Crazy people!

I knew that people would be out there in wet suits since its warm now (for Canada.) It's still cold with the wet suit -- too cold for me, but I respect those who get out there. True Canadians. I think its May 24th weekend that most people begin their riding season.

Absolutely, true Canadians, I went for a small ride a couple weekends ago, but made sure not to fall off or do anything silly ;)

There were guys out before the ice fully cleared on Lake Ontario... pretty impressive :)

Wouldn't be surprised if some guys were breaking up very thin layers of ice while out on the water :D
That of course depends on how calm the waters and presence of riders were before.

That's about 4 minutes from my house, I usually ended up going down to the bay at Pier 4 in Hamilton to launch, is it a free launch at LaSalle park? Hamilton Is a free launch with free parking, slow ride out of the cove (they sometimes have rowers there), but an easy launch point!
LaSalle is a free launch...great, clean and an awesome launch point. Last year I was the only one I saw with Sparks...I hope you and I will run into each other this year! Hopefully heading there with a buddy and his 'doos Friday for this years Maiden Voyage :)

LaSalle is closed for sure on Sat and Sunday this weekend though...in case you were looking to check it out...still putting in the docks.

Welcome to the forum! Hopefully you get to enjoy it a bit more this summer. How do you feel the spark is as it is your first PWC?
Thanks, I think the Spark was a great choice for me and what I want it for. I plan on buying a lift this summer so can just take it down and ride anytime I please. I own a lakefront cottage so I won't be doing any real long trips with it, I just wanted a toy to take out on the water and have some fun. I have friends with pwc and rode theirs occasionally so I always wanted my own. My friends all have older pwc so I was very pleased with how fast and economical my Spark is compared to theirs and it is only a 60hp. Not sure I will ever do the vtune, I'm turning 50 soon and don't have the nerve I used to. If my son can get up to the cottage more and he wants more speed then I may do it for him. Right now I'm happy with the way it is, may change my mind after this full season, we'll see.
