Have a Spark 3 Up with less than 7 hours. Would start up and then stall. Brought to dealer to get the handlebar recall done and told about starting problem. Was called later and told gas tank full of water. Needed to take top off and fuel pump out and clean. About two hours of labor and not under warranty. He was not able to quantify how much water. I asked where it came from and he said the gas put n the tank must have had water. Same Gas put in another boat with no problem (realizing the boat gas tank was much larger). WHEN I PURCHASED GAS FROM STATION I IMMEDIATELY PUT IN CHEMICAL FOR ETHANOL GAS.

SPARK NEVER TIPPED OVER, ON QUIET CHANNEL AND TIED TO DOCK. Are there any issues with fuel tank leakage etc that has been reported? I am in a quandary as to what to do different with the gas after the problem repaired.

Boats with I/O and even most outboards use a water-separating filter, so it's possible that's why no problem with the boat. What chemical are you adding? Should not be necessary.

Find another gas station?
Have you taken it out since? Does the problem persist, or has it been taken care of now? I would try using a different gas station first and then start to re-evaluate after if that doesn't solve the problem.

Not a bad suggestion, using different gas may be a good way to cancel out gas being an issue. Hopefully that's what solves it.
OP, where are you located? Has anyone else from the area your from reported the station you used as having bad gas?
Good idea and am going to use another station.
Dealer called me. Said 2 quarts of water in tank! Said he had to take top off jet ski and remove and clean pump. $300.00. Am going to check with him when I pick up Spark as it is my understanding that they need to take the top off to work the steering frame recall. If I am correct I should not be charged for the top coming off and going back on when necessary for the warranty recall work.

The top does not need to come off for the steering recall. I've done several now, pretty simple job. Hardest thing is getting that **** OTAS magnet off the old column.
