Nitrous on a spark!

Has anyone tried a small shot of nitrous on a spark? I realize the most common argument against this is cavitation. I think something like a 25hp wouldn't cause
much if any cavitation. Even if it did a progressive nitrous controller could overcome this and allow for larger hp shots. Obviously, I would recommend 1 step colder heat range spark plugs and 93 octane to help prevent detonation. I'm unsure of the sparks compression ratio, but I'm sure it's on the higher end to make the amount of power it does to be so small. I'm very familiar with "dry" and "wet" systems and have had kits on many different types of cars and motorcycles with nothing but positive results. What do you guys/gals think? Time to "spray" our sparks?

Yeah...no lol I have seen at the track what it does when they blow up, you are not going to get me to sit DIRECTLY on top of the engine and hope my balls don't get blown off.

NEXT!!!

lol
I certainly wouldn't try it. If you are looking to go faster, get the turbo kit instead. Seems safer to me.
Serpent, do you have any actual experience using nitrous oxide? If used correctly it's actually very safe. Certain things should be done in preparation to reduce the chance of detonation. Every time I've seen an engine blown up while using nitrous it was the cause of improper parts or use(too much timing advance, too low RPM,low octane fuel etc). The health of the engine should also be considered. My only concern is timing control . I'm not worried about "blowing my balls off" because I realize that's extremely unlikely on a stock engine with a small amount of nitrous.
A turbo and nitrous oxide both operate off the same principle. Just because you install a turbo kit doesn't mean it won't sling a rod out the side of the block.
turbo and nitrous on the spark would be a killer combination, but how much the engine block can handle is questionable along with what sort of internal work it needs to handle forced induction.
Casey....yes I have experience and you stated excactly what I was talking about. Just because you know all there is about it doesnt mean that someone who doesnt know a thing wont try putting it on. Not all Horsepower junkies know what they are doing hence why I have seen the intakes fly thru the hood of the car.

Dont get me wrong, would be neat to see it but honestly I dont see what a shot of nitro on the water would be usefull anyway.
Well, faster acceleration seems useful to me. I guess I'll give vtech a call and see how much timing control they can give me on the tuner.
Post pics, would definitley want to the set up.

Indeed, good to really hitting those waves and getting some nice air time.
Nitrous hmmm might as well throw in meth too
Nitrous hmmm might as well throw in meth too
anything to get more power :D
I mean I could always use more power but do I really want to take the risk...
How old are you? Did you just watch "The Fast and the Furious" from your daddy's DVD shelf?

You ready to burn someone at "The Track" for Pinks Dog?

Where would you put the Blue NOS tank? The rear deck? That would look so trick Yo!

....wait, are you talking about the NOS sport drink?
Bug Stomper, thank you for your contribution to the conversation. FYI I'm 32 years old and have worked in the automotive/sales industry for the last 11 years. I've done several full restorations on first gen Datsun Zs and have played with nitrous on motorcycles and cars for more than 15 years. I was simply looking for someone who has had nitrous on a PWC (yes, its been done before) Instead, you ridicule me and infer that I'm some kid living in a fantasy world. Before you start typing maybe you should ask yourself if you are bringing any relevance to the conversation or simply being a DICK.

sure buddy, we'll go with that.
Well I guess this post wasn't about someone sucking on a nitrous balloon while on their Spark. Bummer. (JK) I know nothing about nitrous on the Spark so it doesn't sound safe. If you want to chance it and do it, please film it so we can live vicariously (and safe) through you :)

On a side note, although I don't drink NOS " sport drinks " anymore they are pretty potent :)

And..... can't we all just get along? * pout *
