Im about to do my 25 hour first oil change an plan on changing oil filter as well..where exactly is the oil filter located? Is it behind the engine access cover an if so is it right there on the side of the motor with the black an 3 star head bolts? Or is it located somewhere else to where the body needs to come off? Any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Its a Very tight fit with the top on! Do Not drop any bolts or you probably will be taking the top off?
I know I will just change the 2 quarts of oil Mid Summer and do the filter in the fall.

It's not that tight of a fit with the top on. The biggest thing is to not drop anything. And I wouldn't try to change the oil when the engine is hot. I changed the oil on one after an hour ride and I accidentally dropped the oil filter cover because it was so hot I couldn't hold onto it. Luckily I was able to fish it out of the bottom without taking the top off.

I would recommend changing the filter when you do the first oil change. Because both Sparks I've changed the oil on had a few metal shavings in the filter during the first oil change.
