Like most people I'm looking to get a little more power out of my spark. A little top end would be good but mostly focusing on acceleration. I already added a SS wear ring and Solas impeller and I have the V-tech tune and will be installing it this weekend hopefully. The next 3 things I was looking into was exhaust, air intake and intake grate. I've read a lot of threads where people say the spark needs a better intake grate to get more water into the pump, but I haven't been able to find much info on the grates that are currently available being tested or results of these upgrades. Any info on these would be appreciated.

Have you measured your performance increases so far? What are you getting as far as top speed and acceleration?

I imagine with with the mods you have planned, you are going to be able to get a lot out of the little Spark.

So far with just the SS wear ring and solas prop I saw pretty decent improvements out of the hole. I raced a buddy on a stock spark a few times. He weighs about 50lbs less than me and I beat him out of the hole by 2-3 ski lengths and then held that gap up to full speed. Then we swapped skis and with the lighter rider my ski jumped out by about 5-6 ski lengths. Top speed has been about the same. The solas prop caused the RPM's to drop a bit and because of that the speedo only reads 48mph. But it's still topping out the same as my buddies stock spark.

I now have the Vtech tune, R&D intake grate, intake grate seal kit, and R&D ride plate which will all be getting installed this weekend. Only thing I still debating on is the exhaust and intake. I was going to buy them from a member on this forum that makes them himself but he hasn't gotten back to me in a few weeks now. I'm looking into the R&D stuff now. Anyone know if the intake and exhaust make any difference performance wise?

What improvements did you see from the intake grate and ride plate?
