Wondering if anyone pulls their spark up to shore, not right on but like just the front end so it won't float away if your on the beach. I would like to I am just nervous of damaging the intake grate or something.

We do all the time but make sure to switch off engine according to depth of water. When leaving I usually push them out before starting, then start and let idle a few seconds, then briefly to reverse before going forward.
Not sure if this is cleaning anything out, just trying as a precaution.

Don't really like to pull them on the beach ( I have done it) , I just get nervous of stuff getting into the pump, but I like Spark-DY's idea of pulling them onto a mat, I may try that!

Definitely shut the engine off in shallow water and no reverse in shallow water, you may actually stir something off the bottom and suck it up!

i thought everyone pulled them onto shore :) just cut off the power before you hit 3 feet of water, preferably 4 and leave the back 1/4 of it in the water :p

That's what I do Straight. Slowly coast to shore and shut engine off, hop off and grab the nose and pull her up onto the beach. When I leave, I carfully push it off the beach then I rock the ski from left to right to get anything out of the grate that might be there. I then push the ski foward as I jump on to get to deeper water and then start it up. Has worked for me since 96' :D
