I bought a new Orange Spark 3 Up. Put it in the water and the wear ring busted open under 2 hours. Took to dealer, they were adamant that something got sucked up and warranty didn't cover. Regardless, they repaired it and I paid and picked up my Sea Doo. I took it out for the first time since the repair and I now notice a rattling noise, mainly around idle, and when the steering is turned slightly left or right. Once I give it gas, everything seems sorted out and I go back to idle and the rattling returns but is very intermittent and usually combined with steering pressure. So my question is, does any other Spark owners experience anything similar and is there a possibility that when they took the pump off to repair the wear ring that it wasn't properly put back on? One other note, it almost seems as if the steering is a little tighter now than it was the first ride out. All and all, I only had two rides so I could be over thinking it or just don't remember hearing the same thing pre wear ring breakage.

Always thought something like this would be covered under warranty, how much did you end up paying to have them fix it?

I have a vibration noise that comes from the battery access panel. I put a piece of the material side of velcro to the area creating the vibration. I have not been back out on the spark since but I think it will take care of the noise.

thats weird, how bad is the vibration?

sounds like its just a rattling cover, nothing major. OP sounds like he's having issues with the impeller unit, as when they replaced his wear ring they would of had to open up that area...
