Hello!
Im new here and have a question, its about the key to the Sparks.
I have 3 Sparks so i know that the keys are universal, but what i can't seem to figure out is if the is if it exists a 3party manufacture that makes these?

I'm from Norway and the Seadoo keys costs about 200$ here (wtf) its just a magnet...

So i wanted to try out one of these http://tinyurl.com/kstqry7 .

What do you guys think?

By the way, great forum ! :)

A guy on Greenhulk made one from a bottle cap with a magnet glued to it. I bet you could do something similar.

I want to see if I can get a 3D scan made, and get my friend with a 3D printer to print me a key.
I just looked on the web, and I can't find any for reasonable prices. I got mine on amazon for $35. I was going to suggest you find someone to order one and send it to you (I would have done this, for example). I can't seem to find anything available. I now understand why my dealer had none in stock. You may want to wait until they start coming back on the market, and get someone in the US to mail you one.

That would indeed be awesome, I bet there are some shops that do 3D printing that this can be sourced out to.
I recently purchased a 2014 Spark 3UP and was also looking in advance for a spare key. There are some cheap universal ones Kwik Tek UL-3 Ultimate Lanyard For PWC's on Amazon and ebay
, but I believe they will NOT work due to this: Fits:All 1995 models and prior and all 1996 1997 modelsWITHOUT D.E.S.S.

So my hunt continues to find a DESS key. I would assume the anti-theft keys are also universal to other D.E.S.S. enabled watercraft. I checked my manual but no mention of the key. The official DESS floating safety lanyard run $54 US Dollars.

If anyone finds one that works, let me know!
Well not all DESS keys are universal. I was reading in the SeaDoo 2015 sales catalog 5 pages in and it says:

The new RF DESS (Digitally encoded security system) key allows for quick starts and added security. Has Radio Frequency technology and new ball-in-socket design, the updated key with digitally encoded security gives riders easy starts. (Optional on SPARK models and standard on all other models)

So now I wonder if I have a standard DESS key with my Spark, or one unique to my watercraft? It is not the DESS pictured one that is Black and White it is the all black with yellow float.

Your key, since you have a 2014, is nothing but plastic and a magnet, same as mine and no way to upgrade to the RF DESS, this is for 2015 and up only.
$200 a piece? Ouch, I paid $35 from the dealership. I wonder what shipping costs are from the US to Norway for a key
