Hi all pondering the thought of getting a spark HO 90hp for this summer but before I jump the gun how well it hold up in nyc water (east river, LI sound mostly). I am more concerned with the speed and the hull on the choppy water. All positive input is appreciated thanks.

The Sparks aren't all that fun in heavy chop. You can have fun playing in it but going any kind of distance sucks. I ride my two on the st.lawrence and it more often then not is choppy. I find I can never go any kind of distance because it's so choppy. I blame it on the flat bottom. However if you don't want to travel distance, playing in the chop is a blast.

They are an awesome fun ski for playing around, but as far as cruising in my opinion the spark is no good in choppy water. Every time I go out in choppy water I put the Advil out for the next morning lol.
