Do not tie a rope on the front. I had one there for over a year, but a friend let it fall over, and yep, the engine sucked the rope up.

The end of the rope went into the impeller and there was no acceleration. The rope was cut, and about a foot of rope was missing.

Put the Spark up on lift (My dock), and ran the motor with water cooling.

Looked inside the back water output area at the impeller, and I could see the rope come threw.

Put it back in the water, and it ran fine.

Ran for 6 hrs that day, was able to get to the top speed of 50MPH right away.

Pulled the Spark again, onto the lift. Looked up the back water output at the impeller, and all the rope is gone.

Lesson Learned.
