Same here, I prefer that style. Some friends of mine are up there in age and a little more "round" shall we say. They wanted the swing down step as the standard one for the spark ain't going to do anything for getting them back on in deep water. Just going through pictures it looks like it could work on the 2 person but not with the 3 person extension? IDK I haven't bought one yet, waiting until the spring. If I can fit one on though I'm definitely going to do that on my own instead of the piddly step they have.

I find the spark step works awesome. Im pretty round myself. There is definitely a technique, but it works great. I just use my right hand to push the step down to bring the seat handle closer and grab it with my left hand. Then pulling the spark closer I pull my right knee up and put in on the step then left knee onto the spark.

Yes I've been doing that all this time. But the ladder would be such a piece of cake, can't we just get the ladder? I don't think it's that difficult to create

Well look what I found I'm going to email them and see if they can create a ladder for the spark
