Wifey and I want to get back on the water (sold the boat and the 1 ton dually crew to add funds to the house down payment) and wondered what a PWC would cost us and then I discovered the Spark on Sunday, ordered a hitch for the car that night and started looking for feedback (forums). Joined the other 2 forums and the green one has the most users, but there's something about this one that has potential. Back to the quest; Checked dealer inventories and it looked like there weren't any in the neighborhood, but rolled into the local dealer Monday and the place had every one but the one Wifey wanted - licorice. Local dealer wants $1200 for a trailer, nope. CL and a call to the next nearest dealer will get me one for 1/2 the price. So that's the start of the story...

So are you going to keep waiting until you find the licorice? Or searching for other dealers?

Welcome to the forum!
welcome aboard @xb12r I take it you're a buell rider as well ;)

if you can't find licorice would you consider a wrap? Seadoo has a bunch of official ones and they go for a couple hundred i believe...

anyways, good to have ya!
Welcome to the forum.
Just curious but what car are you using to haul the PWC?
Thanks for the welcome guys. I'm on the hook for a white 2up and I'll wrap, not the Sea-Doo wrap either, but Wifey likes to keep things stock.
Trailer shopping today. I installed and wired it all up yesterday on a VW CC. It's an ugly hitch, not symmetric, pictures later.

It matches my shop vac!

Ended up with the grey 3up... I'll get a pic with it attached to the car. and it tows great.

sweet! looking good! can't wait to hear your thoughts once you get it on the water.

what motorcycle is that? is that a buell?

Flipped the axle and raised the fenders on the trailer, much better.

It's an '07 Buell XB12R, a fathers day present...

nice. looking good! when does it get its first test ride?
We were out New Years day for its maiden run. 1/2 the time in channels and the other 1/2 out on the gulf in choppy conditions. Another hour and its suggested break in is up. Kept it at 3/4 throttle max, around 5000 rpm, saw 6000 rpm once and 42 mph in sport mode, kept it in touring most of the time and came back with a line under 1/2 on the gas gauge.
Not used to not having reverse, but managed OK. Reverse kit will go on when available.
Docking at the launch and a restaurant the barnacles showed how soft the plastic is. I'll be adding a rub rail to it too.
Flushed, power washed, and wipe down was a lot faster than when I had the 25' bote. No water in the bilge, but the panel joints like to hide water. A lot of nooks and crannies to blow dry with the leaf blower. The whole package is sooo light that I had the jack wheel on an empty plastic 5 gallon bucket and up as high as it would go with the rear of the trailer touching. We had a good rain rinse on the way home, but that was only a couple miles on the water and 5 down the road, and the dry bags in the convenience package cubby stayed dry.
And Wifey loves it. ;-)

Great choice in toys :D

Don't see many Volkswagen CC"s around. Next best thing to it's design IMO is the Mercedes CLS.
Looks like fun and makes sense to own since you are in Florida. THe plain black looks nice but I think that I would like the yellow one better. Looks good behind the VW too. Was the trailer expensive?
The local dealer originally quoted the trailer at $1,200.00. It was written up for around $750.00 on the package deal after showing him the quote from another dealer.

All the colors have kind of grown on me a bit more since I've seen them. They do look better outside. I passed an orange one fresh from the dealer heading to its new home behind a black Escalade on Friday afternoon. I'm happy with the Stealth Bomber look.

It does look pretty cool in that color, giving it the stealth bomber look as you mentioned. Now that you mentioned that i'd like to see what it looks like with an Army olive green.

Or just all black....

Official wrapper, almost all black:

WATER | Officially Licensed SCS Sea-Doo Spark Graphics | SCS Unlimited

It looks like you can custom order the color(s) you want too.

that looks nice too. i question the durability of those wraps

They're durable enough for our use. If you happen to scrap up against some big rock somehow then expect to have some of it rip off.

well if you crack into a rock scrapping the vinyl off is going to be the least of your worries LOL
