I get the same 50 mph in touring mode that I get in sport mode on my HO. I assumed it would top out at 43 in touring like a 60 hp does.Was I wrong?

There is a difference between a stock 60hp model and the HO model in touring mode. The only thing affected on the HO while in touring mode is acceleration. Top speed will still be the same as sport mode.

My Ski started as a 60HP, which if you didnt know has no modes. Just turn it on and it goes, when pulling the gas its full acceleration.

I then tuned my spark to 100+ with vtech and this added the whole touring + Sports mode. I thought touring mode was going to be like 60Hp and then sport mode would unlock the extra power. Wow was I wrong.

Touring mode has the same max power as sports mode, it just controls the throttle differently. More delay. I find it very unpredictable. I wish I could have 60HP mode and sports mode together, Or just sports mode. Sometimes I forget to turn off touring mode after startup. meh.

I don't think that Sport mode makes the top speed go up at all, it just changes the acceleration of the Spark. In order to get the top speed up you'd have to modify the chip in the Spark.

Mine is the same in touring or sport too..i cant get mine to hit 50 mph thou only 49mph on glassy water..maybe cus im alil heavier (195lbs) i was told when i bought it ,it would run 55mph

Lol.. i see that now.. the dealer i got mine from didnt tell me about sport mode either, someone i know that has a spark told me about it.. i asked them if that hose by the jet pump was the drain for it.. the guy said no it isn't the spark will never get water in the hull..lol

My tune did not give me the option to switch from touring to sport mode? If I am correct i am just suppose to press the red button for 3 seconds?

When you start you ski, do you see the touring word on the left side ? I didn't even know it was there until after the tune.

And yes on mine I hold the red button for 3 seconds it beeps and asks if you want to go to sport mode , then you press the button one more time to confirm.

If your ski doesn't have this then something must have changed with the tune ?

I will record a video tomorrow and attach it. I do not see the touring mode on the left it just shows up blank. And when I hold it nothing happens

I don't know exactly what tune I got since it was done from out of state I sent my ECU over to some guys I know who do crazy stuff with jet skis. I want to re send it back and see if they can boost it a bit more since I was not happy with the take off. But mine starts off at it's new speeds no option for anything but what I am at now.

Really late reply, did you ever figure out why it did not display sport mode? I have the same issue. Thanks!
