I was thinking about this and wondered where the water can possibly come in if towing over a certain speed? I would assume it backflows up the exhaust into the water box and inside the engine?

One remedy is letting the Spark idle when towing to work around this. My concern is it might cut off during the tow and I would never know until its too late. Is my assumption correct on the water intrusion? With a closed cooling system does it circulate water at all or is it all done through the plate in the hull?

Thank you for the information!
