Normally when the Spark is shut down the IBr remains in the down position. I looked once and saw the gate was up. I'm not sure why. If you could force the up position , could you then replace the ware ring without removing the Ibr ?
It would also be better in up position for inspection and cleaning.

True. I know with my 2011 RXT 260, you could raise/lower the iBR gate with the VTS buttons. I wonder if they could put something in the programming to raise the iBR gate like we switch from touring to sport mode.

Hit mode button till iBR shows on the screen, hold mode button and iBR gate will rise. Next time ski is awakened, iBR goes back to normal.

I bet something like that will be implemented in the future with an software update.
