Hey everyone,
I figured I'd finally start a thread. I know these forums are kind of dead, but I hate social media....

I purchased 2) 2021 Trixx 3 up models in late 2020 from Riva.
They have all the factory options/accessories available.

First mod- Solas 12/17 on each ski- highly recommend. With a new wear ring I went 52 mph in light chop and I weigh 275... Night and day difference. Did them one ski at a time and when switching back to the 100% stock ski I thought it was broken.

Second mod- Riva sponsons. power-slides are awesome. Great hook up too.

Third mod- I just installed a map tuner flash, Riva intake grate, and ribbon delete. I figured the cold air intake and exhaust is a total waste of money. I also did the map tuner VS a cheaper mail in tune so I can perform service resets, (I worked on my skis from day 1) and the ability to try multiple tunes/data log/ try E85.
I'm going to try the tunes with the 12/17 impeller first but, I have a 12/14 sitting on the bench if I do not like it.

That's some good looking skis you got there ///Mdriver one of the best color combos as of right now! (y)

I got two 19 my self one completely stock and one slightly moded:

Mine got the the stock tune with the so called "stainless steal" package:

Worx Intake grate (WR244) + Worx Pump Plug Kit (WR0707)
Solas Jetpump (SK-SV-140/75)
Solas 12/17 Impeller (SK-CD-12/17)
Solas Wear Ring (SK-HS-140)

To be honest it dose not give that much extra performance! However it's better on fule than the stock one so that's great! That's probably because the 12/17 Impeller (with stock tune) lowers the rpm with around 200 and also the facts that the intake grate hooks better with less unwanted impeller free spins out of the water!

If you do what I did + a tune and a "tuning friendly impeller" like the 12/14 you already have it will give you some higher top speeds etc! The 12/17 Impeller is pretty much just for the stock tune.

Doing the free flow exhaust just makes it loader and one of the best thins with the spark, is that it's not so load stock so the neighbours and other boats don't hate you that much if you behave!:D
The cold air intake + the ribbon delete might give some with a tune! But also keep in mind that the ribbon is a backfire safety thing that's there for a reason! I know a lot of people remove it without issues but still!

Except the LinQ's which is a must at least for me! The best OEM accessories I would recommend are:

Comfort Seat: (2up: 295100893 3up: 295100894)
Floorboard Wedges: 295100875
Ergolock Knee Pads: 295100810

Okay I know most of us are riding standing up and that's where the floorboard wedges comes in to play! But when you do sit down you will like the comfort seat and the ergolock knee pads as well! The down side with the comfort seat is that as far as I know it's only available in black & grey!

I have a '19 Spark 3Up with a 110 tune and most everything else you did (SS wear ring with the Solas) but haven't done the ribbon delete, did you notice a difference without it?

As @soyd did I plan to do the comfort seat also, too bad it's only in black/ grey as mine is Mango...

I installed everything as a package and will be riding it first time tomorrow. I'm not sure if I will notice just the ribbon delete. However, I did just install the Riva cold air intake. I figured since the filter is marine grade and acts as a flame arrestor, it's a good idea.

I flashed the stage 2 tune to try first. Then, I'll try the stage 3 tune flash out the same day. This will be with my 12/17 impeller.

Just installed the 12/14 imp and the top loader intake grate today.
The top loader is a PITA!!! It fits really badly. You have to open up the holes in the rear ride plate to get the back screws to line up and where the intake grate meets the ride plate it is lower than the ride plate by 1/16th of an inch.
Taking them out into The Atlantic tomorrow morning and will report back on ride behavior and top speed.

Another update:
The intake grate was worth all the pain of the installation. The ski doesn't lunge out of the water now on heavy throttle. It just goes. It was definitely worth it. Somehow it made the wheelies much more extreme. I got completely vertical without even pulling back instantly.
The 12/14 impeller worked great with the tune. Throttle response was instant and hitting 40 mph takes only a few seconds.
I think the intake grate affected my top speed. I only hit 49 with a half tank of gas but, the seas were 1-2 feet so I kept bouncing around quite a bit.
I think I'll take it to a lake to really confirm the top speed but I don't care at this point. The ski is exactly how I want it.
Lastly, don't adjust the Riva sponson ALL the way up. I found that out the hard way today... The middle setting is the sweet spot!

Just curious if anyone can help me out. I just installed intake, Rubin delete and 12/14 impeller. I have the map tuner but haven’t flashed it yet. I tried to start it after the mods and it sputtered over once then threw engine code and won’t start again. I’m guessing I need to tune it first for it to run correctly m, at least I’m hoping. Any on-site would be great thanks

Are you sure you put the ribbon delete in the correct way the arrow is facing?
Those bolt ons wouldn’t affect the ecu unless something was missed.
I don’t think the tune will correct the issue but why don’t you use the map tuner and see what the code is reading first?

I just converted my tuned 3 up to a 2 up. Took me literally 15 minutes. Will hopefully test next weekend. I need more air in jumping wake and more power sliding....

Question: Does anyone know if the lower T30 screws holes go through the hull where the swim platform attaches?
Meaning; I cannot put the screws back as they do not seat fully. Just want to make sure it does not fill with water and I'm not splitting the hull.I shined a light in there and it looks capped off. Just looking to confirm.

This 3 up extension is engineered so haphazardly... There's no seal whatsoever between the hull and the extension. Talk about drag. It's like a parachute.
I'll have one **** of a time re-boarding but, going to give it a try.
I installed the bumper guards but kept the 3 up seat with the extension for the fire extinguisher.

New WetJet custom spark red/black traction mats delivering tomorrow. Will update.

Update:

After a few sessions with the swim extension/3-up platform removed I can confirm there is zero difference in top speed. The craft is obviously easier to launch from a wave in 2 up form. Turning and maneuverability doesn't appear to be that different as well, maybe just a hair more playful, but less stable. The strange thing is, I could not get a power slide with the platform removed and my sponsons set in the same position at 1 down from center like I was able to with the 3up platform. So, I will be reinstalling the 3 up platform soon. Maybe 1 more big wave session first...

Also, the 12/14 impeller I can only get 48 MPH out of it in 2 up or 3 up form. Same stage 3 tune that I have ran 51 MPH on a 12/17 impeller and 52 mph on stock tune with zero mods and a 12/17 impeller. The tune is worth the low and mid range power but useless if you're chasing top speed. I can say though, at 48 or 51 this ski is quite a handful with a tune and you better hold on tight.

Hope this post gives people some insight. If tuning for top speed, you WILL be disappointed. If tuning for the ride itself, it does not disappoint... Just a 2 hour session on a modded ski and I am sore all over.

I'm waiting for these guys to finalize this turbo kit though. It's the only one I have seen that utilizes a waterbox...
They're still in the R&D at the moment and unfortunately the tuning platform will differ from Maptuner.

Bumping this thread:
I put the stock tune back on awhile back and rode it a few times. Top speed never changed.
(This is proof that top speed is all impeller related)

I reloaded the stage 3 tune and instantly questioned myself why I reverted back to stock. It's a night and day difference! I will accept the 3/4 mph loss.
(This is why I bought a maptuner, ease of swapping tunes)
