I finally got on the water to test this speaker and I'm very pleased. I can hear it clearly top speed, and even have to turn it down a couple levels because it is too loud. The speaker is a Braven brv-x. It comes with a strap that works perfectly on the handlebars. There are two settings, Indoor and outdoor. Indoor activates the subwoofer, and is more bass. Outdoor turns off the subwoofer, and really let's you crank up the volume. Speaker has 12 hour battery life, waterproof, dust proof, drop proof. I feel no need to instal a sound system after using this speaker.

How is this holding up still working without any issues? I too am looking at the Braven brv-x or the Braven-Pro.

Did you try mounting it under the handlebars? Right about the speedometer? Would it fit there?

It fits under the handle bars without touching? Are you able to turn the handlebars issue free?!

The speaker has a threaded mounting point already on there, so that was a major influence for the purchase.

This is the setup I run on mine..

2 Kicker KM 6.5 Marine and a Kicker PXi BT amplifier with flush mounted controller so you don't have to fiddle with your phone on the water. Plenty loud to hear it at WOT and a jammin system while parked.

Sorry to fire up and old thread but I see many people using the kicker PXi BT amplifier has any one used the boss mc900b? I see the difference is 4 channel vs 2 channel but could you not bridge the amp to a 2 channel and have a more powerful amp for your ski?

Did you get the mini life jacket 3 or regular life jacket 3? what hardware did you get? i assume you used holes already in your handlebar and on the speaker? lastly, there's no rubbing when turning or anything like that underneath handlebars...move freely?

I used the boss mc900b system but still went with kicker speakers (the ones with built in lights) 24 hours of riding with no issues.

I just purchased this speaker. Can you tell me how you mounted it? I know i can use velcro but i like your style way better. Thanks for the help.
